Mimi’s Mission

Dear gentle blog reader,

Every now and then, there’s a story that really grabs you because, in this case, because our little heroine has dealt with so much in her short life. Such is the case with “Mimi” (Amelia Jane Simpson), who was born with cerebral palsy. She’s a real trouper.

This week, after more than a year’s worth of fundraising, UK citizen Mimi was finally operated on in St. Louis, Missouri. Who knows, maybe one day, she’ll be able to walk with crutches!

Here’s little Mimi, just before her flight to the USA:

Mimi’s not out of the woods yet — she’ll need years’ of physiotherapy in order to be able to use a walker. I’m amazed at how brave and strong she is. Way to go, Mimi!
