Protestor Hurls Shoes at Bush During Speech

Hello, gentle blog reader,

If a picture is worth a 1000 words, this one takes the cake (or the sole, as the case may be):

http://www.nypost.com/seven/12142008/news/regionalnews/iraqi_man_throws_shoes_at_bush_144173.htm

Muntadar al-Zeidi, a correspondent for Al-Baghdadia television, throws his shoe at President Bush.

In past times, many Americans would have taken umbrage at such an attack; however, given the times, there are a lot of Americans who’d probably like to do the same thing!

More disconcerting is what will happen to the 150,000 US troops in Iraq in January.  Will they be the target of protestor attacks, ones involving more than shoes? It’s sad to say, I bet they will.

Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush are flying to a world economic summit… (humorous)

Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush are flying to a world economic summit.

Barack looks at Clinton and chuckles: “You know, I could throw a 50-dollar bill out the window right now and make one person very happy.” Clinton shrugs his shoulders and says: “Well, I could throw five 10-dollar bills out the window and make five people very happy.” Bush says: “Of course, but I could throw ten 5-dollar bills out of the window and make ten people very happy.” The pilot rolls his eyes, looks at all of them, and says: “I could throw all of you out of the window and make the whole country happy.”

McCain vs. Palin (or an Old-Fashioned Gentleman vs. a Pitbull Who Encourages a Mob Mentality)

Update:  Palin’s going rogue, which is even worse for McCain:

Worse, some of his advisors think McCain made a mistake in picking her:

Hello readers,

Well, it appears that John McCain and Sarah Palin are having a go at one another.  She’s stolen the thunder from under him and he’s too much of a gentleman to stand up to her. Worse, she likes to incite crowds against Obama:

I bet McCain regrets having a “Pitbull in Lipstick” as his running mate!

In my opinion, the GOP has set McCain up, so to speak.  The Republicans knew that because of the disastrous presidency of George W Bush, no Republican could win the presidency in 2008; hence, they’ve USED McCain as a sacrificial lamb and are testing the waters with Palin for 2012.

I pity McCain–he’s served his country only to be used and abused by his own party.

What do you think about McCain’s (vs. Palin’s) styles? Do you think McCain is a victim?
